LEARN BRIDGE GREENSBORO
Learn bridge. Play bridge. Have fun!

Mentoring Program for Greensboro
The purpose of the Mentoring Program is to mentor aspiring bridge players by guiding their growth in all aspects of the game. The goals are to reduce player frustration that comes with learning and playing the game, to retain more players, to encourage playing more club games and tournaments and to build community. The program lasts year-round with three mentoring seasons: Winter (Jan-Apr), Summer (May-Aug) and Fall (Sep-Dec). A mentor is paired with a mentee for one season. Unit 169 has a Mentor-Mentee Celebration Unit Game in April. Mentees with over 200 points will be asked to mentor newer players.
Mentors
The role of the Mentor is to be an ally to newer players by providing valuable advice, guidance and encouragement to play more often. Mentors are not necessarily experts, but players willing to share their knowledge and to spread their love and enthusiasm for the game. The Mentor also benefits by making new friends and enhancing their own experiences and skills.
Mentees
Players who are members of Unit 169 may request a Mentor provided they have fewer than 500 points. Your Mentor will act as a coach helping you to become more proficient in basic bridge skills.
